My handmade decorative ceramic tableware portrays the vines of the Napa Valley. Reflected in each piece is the inherent asymmetry and variation of the real vines and leaves on which it was modelled. Each piece is an original and unique design, and is created in a studio in Angwin or Calistoga, California.

Individual pieces in the collection vary due to the season in which the pieces were created. As the Napa Valley's vines change with the seasons, so do my designs. Spring's vines sprout with new growth as they prepare to support the fruit that is to come. Summer's leaves are large and shade abundant bunches of grapes. Fall's vines have a few small grape bunches remaining after picking. Then the leaves begin to drop, and the vines become sparser looking. Winter vines are empty and stark, but they have a grandeur all their own.

The decorative ceramic tableware I create is intended to be functional. The clay and glazes are all food-safe. Using a wooden serving spoon can help protect delicate designs from damage. Wash the ceramic pieces by hand in warm soapy water.
